Jessica is a student at Harry Herpson High School. She is an attractive girl in Morty's math class. He has a crush on her and often daydreams about her. He wants to be her boyfriend, but she is already in a relationship with Brad, which she doesn't really like. She is voiced by Kari Wahlgren.
Morty has an obvious crush on her, but Jessica doesn't acknowledge Morty frequently. So far, she has only spoken to him directly three times. In the Pilot, when Rick and Morty escape from Intergalactic Customs, the duo crash into her table. Jessica seems impressed and asks Morty on whether he just came through a portal. Rick, however, quickly drags Morty away. Jessica also asks Morty how he is related to Tiny Rick in "Big Trouble In Little Sanchez". Finally, Morty and Jessica speak to each other for the so far longest continued amount of time in "Ricksy Business"
In "M. Night Shaym-Aliens!", a simulation Jessica attempts to seduce Morty in exchange for the recipe for concentrated dark matter. It was later revealed that this was only a holographic projection of her.
In the episode "Rick Potion #9" Morty wanted to ask her out to the flu season dance, but before she could give him an answer, Brad came up and told Morty that she was out of his league and proceeds to walk off with her (much to her exasperation). She was later seen at the dance and Morty purposely touched her arm with the love potion serum making her fall in love with him, unfortunately she transmitted it (through sneezing) to everyone else in the school building. She was last seen mutated along with everyone else while still under the effects of the love potion in dimension C-137. At the end of the episode, Rick and Morty left and went to a replacement dimension where everyone had been reverted to normal, making Jessica, no longer a cronenberg. Although this isn't the original Jessica, it is a version that is identical to her, just in a different dimension.
In the episode "Ricksy Business", Jessica was seen at Summer's house party. Rick convinced Morty to talk to her. Jessica was there with her boyfriend, Brad but then he picked a fight with Abradolf Lincler. Jessica was so annoyed with Brad and Morty talked to her about it, to try and make her feel better and get closer to her. He took her into the garage and showed her all of Rick's inventions. Jessica was amazed by what she saw, but their moment was interrupted by Squanchy, "squanching" in the closet. At the end of the party, Jessica was seen, happily leaving with Brad again.
In the episode "Mortynight Run", Fart had read Morty's mind and picked up on what he was thinking at the time. What he was thinking was "Jessica's feet". This implies that Morty has a foot fetish and finds his school crush, Jessica's feet to be the most arousing. Later in the episode, Fart was taking Morty on a musical acid trip while he sang the song Goodbye Moonmen. One of the things Morty hallucinated was a flower turning into Jessica, who then turned into Gwendolyn. This was not the real Jessica, however.
In the episode "Big Trouble In Little Sanchez", Morty talked with Jessica at the house party, explaining Rick's new body as Tiny Rick. Jessica took this information in stride, hardly seeming surprised. They were later seen at a dance, holding hands, suggesting that they are now boyfriend and girlfriend. They were never seen breaking up in the end and she has never appeared again since, so it's possible that Morty and Jessica are in a boyfriend/girlfriend relationship.
Jessica is a pretty teenage Caucasian school girl with orange hair. She wears a light blue or green headband, a very light colored magenta buttoned polo shirt, and a purple skirt. She is somewhat taller than Morty.
Jessica hasn't expressed much of a personality, given that she has little screen time and is mainly just made to be Morty's love interest. She's basically just a nice school girl who's pretty, popular, smart, and gets good grades. However, she was given some depth in the episode Ricksy Business. She claims that she's not entirely satsfied with her love life, saying that she doesn't always like Brad 100% of the time because he tries to act like a bad boy. She aspires to date someone who's nice and sweet. However, she was later seen, happily leaving the party with him at the end, meaning that she doesn't dwell upon her inner emotions too much.
In the beginning of the series, Jessica was originally oblivious to Morty's love for her. She liked him as a friend, although they only really interacted as much as friendly acquaintances. As the series progressed, the two interacted for longer periods of time every time the met. Jessica first started talking to him in the Pilot but only for two lines of dialogue and by the end of the season, Morty became a friend of Jessica. In the Season 1 finale, Ricksy Business, Jessica was at Morty's house for Rick and Summer's party. She became upset when her boyfriend at the time got into a fight, so Morty comforted her and cheered her up by showing her all of Rick's cool inventions in the garage. He came close to confessing his feelings to her at this time, but was interrupted by Squanchy's 'squanching' in the closet. It is unknown if they are officially in a relationship or not, but the latest appearance of the two of them together was in the episode Big Trouble In Little Sanchez, where they went to the school dance as a couple, held hands the whole time, and slow danced together.
Jessica and Brad were dating, but Jessica is often unhappy with Brad because he can be obnoxious and rude. Brad acts like a douche around her, openly stating that, while attractive, she isn't the 'hottest girl' in school. No matter how much they fight though, they all seem to make it water under the bridge in the end. It is possible the two may have broken up by the events of Big Trouble In Little Sanchez, as she attended a dance with Morty.
Based on their limited interactions, Jessica seems duly impressed by Rick's skills as a scientist. In M. Night Shaym-Aliens!, she expected Morty to be very smart because his grandfather was a scientist, but this was a simulated version of her, so it is unknown if she actually believes Rick's genius has rubbed off on Morty. In Ricksy Business, she was very interested at Rick's party and even more intrigued by the inventions that Morty showed her in the garage. In Big Trouble In Little Sanchez, she went to another one of Rick's parties and thought it was cool that he made himself a teenager like them. She eventually started to see Tiny Rick as one of the students at Harry Herpson High School as well as one of the coolest kids there.
